Hello! We are Lauren and Cal, and we have realized that it is time to grow our family!

Lauren was diagnosed with Swyer’s Syndrome at age 12. SS is a rare genetic condition that eventually necessitated the removal of her ovaries and fallopian tubes. This means that while she is able to carry a baby now, she does not have any eggs of her own.

After much time in thought and prayer, Lauren and Cal have decided that embryo adoption is the right step for them. Embryo adoption involves the adoption of another couple’s embryos (fertilized eggs) that were originally created for IVF. When the couple decides that they are done growing their family, they can either dispose of the embryos, donate them to science, or donate them to another couple who will “adopt” them. Both Cal and Lauren strongly feel led to this third choice.

We are working with an embryo adoption agency that will match us with donors, but we need the funds to pay agency fees, for embryo transportation, and the actual embryo transfers. We are actively working and saving towards this goal, but would highly value and appreciate anything that you feel led to give!
